CANARY ISLANDS' GOVERNMENT

Public Awareness Campaign

Studies show that since 2016 there has been an increase in sexually transmitted diseases or infections In the Canary Islands. The study also indicates that 40% of adults admit to having had sexual intercourse without precaution. During Carnaval, the largest festival/party of the year, these numbers increase dramatically.

The Canary Islands Government needed to raise awareness among the entire population, but especially young people, of the need to use adequate protection during sexual practices. In order to do so, we created a striking visual campaign, which strongly impacted our main target, drawing awareness to  condom use as the most effective means against contagion.

The idea was to convey the necessity of condom use as the only barrier against Sexually Transmitted Infections. A direct and powerful message in line with the seriousness of the consequences.
